A small mission goes south fast on ‘Where Pleasant Fountains Lie’

Last time on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Tendi was pumped for an assignment. Her friends on the other hand weren’t looking forward to it. Meanwhile Boimler was invited to hang with a new group, one who promises to prepare him for command one day. When Tendi has something strange happen to her a friend shows up to save them. As this episode comes to a close Boimler realizes he is right where he needs to be. Now a small mission goes south on ‘Where Pleasant Fountains Lie’. I was able to watch this episode and here is what I thought of it.

Boimler joins Mariner on a simple mission that goes south pretty fast. They crash on a desolate looking planet with a dangerous supercomputer. Mariner fears Boimler is being manipulated by it and it might be true after he makes a pretty bold move. Meanwhile Rutherford is asked to help his superior with a mission that sounds pretty simple. When something bad happens on it Tendi fears she has lost her closest friend. After some investigating it turns out the person in charge has a plan and it is up to Rutherford to put a stop to it. As this episode comes to a close Boimler is able to get a distress signal out and it looks like this supercomputer is getting locked away for good.
