Mythos Christos takes readers on an adventure in search of a different kind of treasure
Lately I have had the privilege to read more books. They have all taken me on some amazing journeys. Yet none have been like Mythos Christos. The tale it told was an interesting one that is unlike anything I have ever read. Here is what I thought of this intriguing novel.
You can read the plot for Mythos Christos here:
What if a recently discovered map suggested the existence of a curious treasure — a hidden trove of ancient documents
which proved Christianity was based on a fictional tale? Would the Vatican take measures to suppress that information?
Would some seek to destroy it? Mythos Christos lays out the “mythicist” argument (the theory that the gospel tale was mostly mythical in nature) in the form of an archaeological adventure story.
Mythos Christos is a long book, but I liked the story it told. It has action, drama, mystery and so much more. The characters in this tale are great, with plenty of good guys, a few bad ones and some who are in between. This is a unique novel in that it asks a lot of tough questions about a religion that is still going strong in modern times, which is Christianity. I really liked how this book jumps between the two time periods. Although this was confusing at first, over time it made perfect sense to me. This is a book that may take some time for you to read, but it will be worth it. Yet once it is all over most people will be happy with the way it ends, I know I was.
