War is coming on ‘American Gods’ season 2
Starz has made some pretty good shows. I thought Ash vs Evil Dead was totally amazing. When I heard about American Gods I thought it might be interesting. Watching the first season all it did was confuse me though. Thankfully once it got going I ended up being really impressed by this show. So when I heard season 2 was coming to Blu-Ray I couldn’t wait to see it. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of season 2 of this show.
You can read the plot for American Gods season 2 here:
The battle moves inexorably towards crisis point as the destinies of gods and men collide. While Mr. World plots revenge for the attack against him in Season One, Shadow throws in his lot with Wednesday’s attempt to convince the Old Gods of the urgency for full-out war, with Laura and Mad Sweeney in tow. A council at the House on the Rock explodes into chaos, sending deities both Old and New on quests across America that will converge in Cairo, Illinois. Shadow is forced to carve out a place as a believer in this strange new world of living gods — a dark world where change demands commitment, and faith requires terrible sacrifice.
I had a great time watching American Gods season 2. We get to meet some more old gods, and see them as they really are. Shadow gets taken for a wild ride this season, and might finally learn about who and what he really is. Meanwhile a few new gods come into the mix ready to help Mr. World win this war. As the season gets near the end a few surprise deaths happen too. As this season comes to a close war is definitely looming on the horizon. If you liked season 1 of this show then you won’t want to miss season 2.
