Prepare for a wild ride in ‘Lego Star Wars Holiday Special’
I am a huge Star Wars fan. I have watched most of the animated TV shows, and pretty much every film. The Mandalorian has been great so far, and I was impressed with Star Wars Rebels. When I heard about the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special I couldn’t wait to watch it. I was able to get a screener for this holiday special and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special here:
Directly following the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” Rey leaves her friends to prepare for Life Day as she sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?
I was quite impressed by this holiday special. It started simple enough with preparations under way for a great Life Day celebration. We see Rey trying to train Finn as her new apprentice, and things aren’t going so well. A trip to a jedi temple seems the best way to help him out. The discovery of a mysterious crystal ends up taking Rey on a wild trip through the past. There is a moment there when things look real bad, but advice from an old jedi master gets everything back on track. As this story comes to a close, Rey learns a very good lesson. Fans of Star Wars won’t want to miss this holiday special.
