‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ is out now on Disney Plus

I had a blast watching The Guardians of the Galaxy. We met an imperfect group of characters who found themselves trying to save the universe from a powerful foe. In The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Quill met his dad and had to stop him from doing something terrible. When I heard about The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special I couldn’t wait to watch it. I was able to get a screener of this special and here is what I thought of it.

The Guardians are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, so they head to Earth in search of the perfect present.

We hear a sad story from Quill’s past at the start of this special. After hearing it, Mantis decides to do something to make this holiday season magical for Quill. Drax agrees to join her to Earth to get Quill the perfect gift. We see them have a wild time and yet it takes them a minute to find someone. Once they do things take a zany turn but they refuse to give up. When Peter gets his gift he isn’t as excited as they all hoped he would be. Yet as this special comes to a close things end up going great and Quill gets told something that makes this holiday season one he will never forget.
