‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ Sort of silly, but kids will enjoy it
The Lego movies have been a big hit so far. Each one has a stellar voice cast, tells a good story and has breath taking animation. When I heard about The Lego Ninjago Movie I was looking forward to seeing it. It surprised me in a few ways. I was able to see it early and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for The Lego Ninjago Movie here:
In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.
The Lego Ninjago Movie gets 7/10. It was an okay film, but it definitely had its flaws. The story it told had its weak moments, and sometimes it got too silly for its own good. The characters were pretty good, and it was easy to dislike the main villain. The were a few cool surprises as the story unfolds, although the ending was kind of predictable. This will not be a movie for everyone, but kids will definitely like it. To learn more about The Lego Ninjago Movie click on this website.
