‘The Son’ Tells a dark chapter in this country’s past
I get to see a lot of new shows lately. Some of them are great, while others are just bad. When I heard of The Son, I was definitely intrigued. I knew little about it going in though. I was able to get a review copy of the first season and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the premise for ‘The Son’ season 1 here:
Based on Philipp Meyer’s Pulitzer Prize finalist novel of the same name, the highly anticipated series stars Pierce Brosnan in the sweeping saga of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas oil empire.
I didn’t like The Son at first. But as I watched the season unfold it started to grow on me. It has a great cast, and tells an amazing tale. It is gruesome and bloody at times, but that is how things were at that moment in history. These moments add an air of authenticity to this show. A lot happened this season, some things that I didn’t see coming. If you are a fan of this time period, or pierce Brosnan then this is a show you may want to check out.
