The new trailer for Game of Thrones season 6 has been released and is sure to pump fans up for the return of this show
This may come as a shock to some but it took me years to get into Game of Thrones. I would hear from friends, family and people I met at comic conventions that Game of Thrones was amazing and I needed to see it. So one day I finally decided to sit down and watch it on my laptop when my usual shows were over for the year. Right away I loved it. The characters, the plot and the fantasy elements enticed me and I was hooked. The show jumps from one perspective to another and yet this never gets confusing or nonsensical. Last season was one of the best yet and brought some of the most amazing shocks and deaths.

Not much is known about the new season except that the different kingdoms are all preparing for war. It doesn’t answer the burning question if Jon Snow is going to stay dead, that fans will have to wait to find out I guess. Without George R.R. Martin’s newest book Winds of Winter coming out in late March as originally planned because of weeks of delay the answers just aren’t there really.

We get to see some cool shots of the white walker we saw a bit last season, and Sansa Stark looks stronger than ever. It is also nice to see Daenerys again, although she does look to be a captive to a huge army she has met before. My favorite part is getting to see Tyrion Lannister once more, and the scene inside the keep is going to be awesome that is for sure. Overall it is a wonderful trailer and is guaranteed to entice fans until the new season begins in a few weeks.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO April 24, 2016 at 9pm.
