Timmy Puts Himself in a Tough Moral Dilemma in ‘Timmy’s Poem’

To win he makes a bold choice in ‘Timmy’s Poem’

Last time on The Kids are Alright, Timmy disobeyed his mom to try out for a part in a children’s show. Things ended up working out better than he thought they would. This time, he needs to find a way to get some extra cash. A contest pays the winner more than enough, but to win he may have to make a difficult choice. I was able to watch a screener of ‘Timmy’s Poem’ and this is what I thought of it.

You can read the premise for ‘Timmy’s Poem’ here:

To Peggy’s dismay, Timmy decides to enter a poetry contest to win the money he needs to repair his ventriloquist dummy. Stumped, he decides to plagiarize a poem and soon realizes he’s not the only one who passed it off as his own. Meanwhile, Mike and Lawrence continue to butt heads when Lawrence complains that there are no fresh vegetables in the family’s diet.

All kinds of hilarity ensued in ‘Timmy’s Poem’. He knew the choice he made was wrong, but he made it anyway. When he finds out something about the poem though, it gives him some leverage in this situation. It definitely changes his thoughts on what he did. It becomes a question of will they admit what they did, and how far will both of them let this crazy situation go. In the end, things may work out in ways neither of them saw coming.
