The Unbelievable True Story ‘The Disaster Artist’ is Coming to Blu-Ray

‘The Disaster Artist’ has a blast telling this strange story

I have never seen The Room before. Until last year I had never even heard of it. When I heard about The Disaster Artist I was looking forward to seeing it. This is a film that tells the whole story of how this movie was made. I was able to get a review copy and this is my thoughts on it.

You can read the plot for The Disaster Artist here:

Based on the best-selling tell-all book about the making of the cult-classic disasterpiece The Room, “The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made”, by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell, and written for the screen by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber, The Disaster Artist tells the hilarious true story of aspiring filmmaker and infamous Hollywood outsider Tommy Wiseau – an artist whose passion was as sincere as his methods were questionable – into a celebration of friendship, artistic expression, and dreams pursued against insurmountable odds.

The Disaster Artist was a pretty good film. It has an amazing cast and tells a rather interesting story. It is about friendship, following your dreams and never giving up. James and Dave Franco have wonderful chemistry and do an amazing job bringing their characters to life. ‘Oh, hi Mark!: Making a Disaster’ shows viewers how everything came together and the work put into telling this story. ‘Directing a Disaster’ did a great job showing how James Franco became Tommy and how the chemistry with the cast helped make this a special kind of movie. There is also a pretty funny gag reel.
