Listen to a Unique Type of Humor on ‘Ricky Gervais: Humanity’

Ricky Gervais tells some weird jokes on ‘Humanity’

I like Ricky Gervais. He has been great in a number of different movies. Yet I have never watched one of his comedy specials before. So when I found out Netflix was debuting a new one called Humanity, I was eager to check it out. It certainly surprised me in a few ways. I was able to get a screener of this comedy special and this is what I thought of it.

Filmed at the Apollo Hammersmith in London, the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning British comedian returns to the stage in London with a scathing special that touches on aging, becoming spoiled, his perspective on having kids and more.

I was definitely surprised by Ricky Gervais: Humanity. Some of the jokes were rather dark, while others were quite twisted. I did laugh a good amount, but not as much as I expected to. I guess I was a bit shocked by his brand of humor. Overall this was an alright special, but I have seen better ones recently. I think some people will like it, but it certainly won’t be for everyone.
