See more of Lex, the human side of the heroes and an awesome surprise near the end
The story of Batman fighting Superman is not a brand new one. It has happened a few times in comic books and there have been talks of bringing this to the big screen for years now. This has been seen in a few animated movies but never in a major motion picture, but that is going to change next year. The newest trailer for this battle of titans that makes it hard to see who will end up winning is online and here is what we know from it.
The movie takes place shortly after Superman Man of Steel. The public is starting to lose trust in Superman (Henry Cavill) for a number of reasons. Many people fear he is too strong and that is left unchecked he could do a ton of harm. But there are those who look up to him as a savior and someone who has a gift to protect the weak from the deadly threats in the universe. Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) decides to take a trip to Metropolis to make an attempt to combat Superman preemptively to make sure his power is not used to harm people who don’t deserve it. Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is in this film and he has plans to use this fight to his advantage although we are not sure how yet. But there is some kind of dangerous new threat out there and to stop it both of these heroes are going to need all the help they can get. Why does Bruce hate Superman so much? How far will Batman be willing to go to stop him? And what devious plans does Lex have to bring chaos to the world?
This new trailer is freaking awesome! There are many more shots of Lex this time, and many moments where he decides to show his true colors as the villain we all know and adore. There are also some great scenes here of Bruce and Clark Kent meeting up and even though they don’t know that they are going to be foes the hate for both of their alter egos is very apparent right away. There is also a great new scene with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) that shows just how powerful this woman is. But the greatest part of this trailer is towards the end when a very dangerous villain shows up that fans of a well known comic will recognize immediately. All things considered this is a very good trailer and it definitely makes this writer excited to see it when it comes out next year.
