‘Wednesday’ season 1 is out now on Netflix

I have enjoyed most of The Addams Family films. They each have added new elements to this story and have been a lot of fun to watch. When I heard about Wednesday I hoped I might get to watch it. I was able to get screeners for season 1 of this show and here is my thoughts on them.

You can read the plot for Wednesday season 1 here:

The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

We see Wednesday do something drastic at the start of this season. It gets her expelled from another school and forces her parents to enroll her at Nevermore Academy. This seems like a perfect place for her, but she is in no rush to stay here. It isn’t until she notices a mystery to be solved that her tune changes about this place. Slowly we see her making a few friends and taking chances in her life. There is also plenty of suspense and thrilling moments as this season moves along. As this season comes to a close life for Wednesday is never going to be the same.
