Think women like to be catcalled? As W. Kamau Bell says, “I like a man who’s not swayed by facts!”
And so Kamau took to the streets of NYC with a megaphone and delivered a message to his fellow dudes, “If you think catcalling and street harassing build up a woman’s confidence, you’re right. It makes them confident that you’re a creep.”
It is very interesting to me that in modern society we HAIL and in fact idolize single motherhood and at the same time complain that modern boys/men aren’t being raised right without anyone questioning who is doing the raising
For one thing, some women DO react and respond favorably. Guys looking for a quickie, wait for just one to respond the way they want and bingo bongo.
So I guess the point of this was that we can yet again show men as being these walking perverts with nothing on their mind other then sex. Yup, thanks for pointing this out yet AGAIN.
Where do these guys come from? Ask their mothers who were more then likely the primary parent and raised them.
When are women going to start to take responsibility?
SOME women.
What Emily May (founder and director of Hollaback! New York) was trying to say, but self-bleeped was this: the random dude on the street passing by said to her out of the blue was not “Hi” or “How ya doin’?”…. It was, literally, ” I want to f&$k the sh#⃣t out of you!!” ….( not exactly anything you would find out of an Emily Post book on etiquette)….
Where do these guys come from and who taught them to speak to strangers on the street this way?
LOVE THIS!!!
