BloomNation: A Nation of Cool and Trendy Floral Experts

This week, I interviewed Farbod Shoraka (Co-Founder & CEO of BloomNation). Farbod drives BloomNation’s vision, strategy and growth. As an economics graduate from University of California-Berkeley, he has always had a passion for understanding business models creating solutions for the greater good.

Prior to BloomNation, Farbod was an analyst in Mergers & Acquisitions and corporate strategy. Farbod’s favorite flower is the Casablanca Lily.

What is BloomNation?

BloomNation is an American online floral marketplace with about 2,000 florists delivering to nearly 3,000 cities across the country. As an “Etsy-type” site for flowers, customers connect directly with local florists whose flower arrangements are highlighted in the marketplace.

The florists upload their own real photos of their floral design as no stock catalog images are allowed. In the marketplace, customers can browse flower arrangements and reviews from participating florists all in one place.

In this interview, he talked about how his business became a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and send unique bouquets handcrafted by local florists across the country. With their epic customer service and growing community of florists, BloomNation has become the easiest and most reliable way for ordering flowers online.

Thinking About Her

Whether it is this special day, Mother’s Day, or any other special occasion, consider ordering from BloomNation. Do not worry about being bothered with commuting to floral shops. Go online and leave the rest to the experts.

By the way, today is Valentine’s Day. So, if you have not bought something for that special someone, perhaps it is worth making an online trip to BloomNation. The flowers may come a day late, but you will still have the opportunity to create a cherishable and unforgettable memory.
