Show up.
I’ve noticed time after time that the person who shows up is often the person who emerges to the front.
There are plenty of people who really want to be successful. When they claim that, they’re not lying. They truly do want it. But wanting something isn’t enough.
We’ve got to show up. Literally.
You know those weekly meetings that seem completely unnecessary? Whether they’re useless or not, show up. How about those late night opportunities to connect with people who don’t appear to be helpful to your career? The next big thing isn’t the next big thing yet, so show up. And when you schedule a coffee with someone, show up.
Simply showing up will change everything.
And when we show up physically, be present.
In other words, show up twice.
No need to complicate things.
Just show up.
