Many retail stores are moving away from the all or nothing one day event and embracing Christmas Creep, the spreading of discounts over November and December. And for good reason, as these two months can produce as much as 30% of a retailer’s annual sales, according to the National Retail Federation. As between the two events, Black Friday and its online equivalent Cyber Monday, Social is more positive on Cyber Monday which pulls 85 percent positives over the last week compared to 71 percent positive for Black Friday. However, Black Friday still owns the chatter and pull in ten times the volumes of opinions in Social over Cyber Monday.
