Why Utilize the Pandemic Time To Upgrade Your Skills

The COVID 19 pandemic is at its peak in India. It has been six months when the first lockdown was announced. Still, life has not come to the track as it was before the lockdown. The lockdown has turned around the life of many people working in IT and Non-IT sectors. Although, many companies have resumed their work by allowing work from home and many providing leaves or alternate day work with various protection, the downsizing in the industry has led to the loss of multiple jobs in the market. The biggest challenge that has come up with the migration of workers and their objection to returning. The employers are also not sure to employ the worker as the demand for goods and services has come down in the market. This situation has led to the demand of workers with specific skills and work as a professional at the workplace increases productivity by performing well with his skills.

The current skillset required for getting a job in the market needs to be highly polished and must be in multi-dimension. Currently, most of the employer is looking for candidates who fit in multiple domains in the industry. As the situation is not very encouraging, employers are preferring on the candidates who have professional certification in the area and have other skills that they can master on demand. Almost, all the MNC has announced the work from culture, it has become more difficult for new people to join in the firm and understand the work culture as people are not acquainted to work in this virtual environment. Due to this, the recruitment process has become stiffer and the selection process is getting difficult day by day.

Speaking with Rahul from InventaTeq, we understand that the current situation is not the right time to get panic and end up our hopes in getting a qualified job. With his vast experience in training and development, he mentioned that the right decision needs to be taken by the candidate, not by the authorities. The students and professionals can utilize the time well enough to upgrade their skills. He urged them to understand the demand of the market and take an appropriate decision. The best thing to get rid of any situation in the world is education. He mentioned that education is the key which can solve all the problems. He mentioned that professionals are running after the money, not after the job. So, if they have got a time when they can pause for a bit to understand what they want to do in life, take up the skill and can start afresh again for their passion. Commenting on the need for money to survive, he mentioned that money comes for the exchange of skills and if one is not skilled enough then earning money becomes difficult in every situation to be if Pandemic or Normal.

On the whole, it is very clear that skill is very important for a professional to land up in a good job in all the situations. We must look forward to getting skilled and make it count. In today’s world, your skill is not defined with the education you have rather it has directly connected with your passion. If you have passion, you can always take up different Software Related courses like Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science Courses, Digital Marketing Course Online , Devops, RPA Tools and make yourself eligible enough to survive and earn in the same. But if we kill our passion, we can earn money but not the satisfaction that makes us happy from inside. We must look forward to educating ourselves not for getting a degree but increasing our knowledge and skill level to be successful with happiness.
