It’s not about beer, and it’s not about business. Happy Hour is really about time to connect and reflect.

“The hour I spend over a beer saves me hours I’d spend otherwise laboring under the illusion that I can see all of my blind spots.
I can’t.
I need collaboration. I need other people… and no, an office-based meeting around a white board doesn’t always cut it. Sometimes you need to get out and forget about the mantle of expectations.”
This is my favorite part of the story….it applies to so much not just business ….we NEED each other in this life. Some may need this more than others, but no one has all the answers all the time. Maybe you don’t need an hour all the time, maybe not a beer, but we all need the time of reflection and dreaming, thinking (or not) and planning to get to places we never thought possible, but are more than achievable–those places/experiences are often very necessary.
