Oscar, written with grit, wisdom, and humor. It’s nice to have the old ones welcomed into this space. Its time we go deeper and heal the old wounds that keep us disconnected from the earth and the great mysteries of life, death, and transformation. I remember Robert Bly and the many gatherings we attended and thinking today about his recognition that boys (and men) need to be in the company of elders (and the old ones) to hear the sound that male cells sing. Its a mysterious and healing melody, but we’ll never hear it in the marketplace of a society that has lost its connection to the Earth. May we return again for what will truly nourish us.
