As a pediatrician I don’t like the thought of “teaching kids to help if someone is in trouble” as a blanket concept because some criminals/molesters/abductors use that very trait to get a child to help. “My puppy is lost, can you help me find them?” “Your mommy told me to come get you because she is hurt!” I tell parents to teach their children that you should help people your own size. If you see a child that is hurt, you can help them. If it’s a “big person”, get another “big person” to help them.
