Is little Rufus after your iPad every time you turn to take a sip of your latte? The One Laptop per Child project (OLPC) recently released its ridiculously-affordable children's tablet, the XO 3.0.
With an 8-inch screen, 512MB of RAM, full-size USB (for accessories, of course)and a thick plastic exterior, children all over the world will be swiping away in no time. One of the tablet's best features is that it can be powered by hand-cranking (10 minutes of screen time for each minute of work).
Unfortunately, you and Rufus will have to wait, because average consumers can't get their hands on the tablet just yet. OLPC is solely accepting bulk orders from countries, non-profits and NGOs in several regions.
