But after a recent interview in which Pruitt suggested that gutting environmental protections is God’s plan, his worth on Social has plummeted to lows unseen since his appointment. The former Oklahoma Attorney General sat down with Christian Broadcasting Network reporter David Brody and told him that God called humankind to be stewards of the Earth and to use whatever was on it for their own ends. “The biblical world view with respect to these issues is that we have a responsibility to manage and cultivate, harvest the natural resources that we’ve been blessed with to truly bless our fellow mankind,” Pruitt said. Although it’s a nice sentiment, Social doesn’t think Pruitt is living up to his words. Twitter users have accused Pruitt of making it easier for companies to pollute, and after he couched his environmental protection rollbacks in heavenly language, Pruitt’s online sentiment rating sank faster than coastal cities threatened by climate change. He’s currently pulling 77 percent negative sentiments. –Hugo Guzman
