Not all who enter will leave this place of sand and silence.
The desert is unforgiving and cares little for its sapient visitors.
Here amongst the shifting barchan, death is swift and sure for the weak and unwary.
Sitting here meditating, literally upon death, the transience and quickness of life is keenly felt.
In an instant this gift of awareness could be snatched away and our fragile bodies returned to the dust from whence they came.
Carpe Diem is the clarion call that echoes in my mind.
