Are we wrong in thinking this YouTube clip is hallucinogenically annoying?
We had never heard of fledgling YouTube personality NoBiggie before, and after viewing one of his latest offerings, we start to understand why.
His schtick largely consists of texting friends, acquaintances, and exes various lyrics to popular songs as though striking up conversation, with theoretically hilarious consequences.

In the below clip, his mark is “one of my friends who’s more of an acquaintance and this gentleman happens to be gay.”
Here’s what he has to say about him:
None of this answers the really important questions: Why is there a plastic toy trumpet and a kitty cat T-shirt hanging on the wall behind him?
Anyway. He proceeds to send this gentleman “who happens to be gay” the lyrics to The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” which includes seductive lines like “You’re looking pretty in a hotel bar,” “so baby pull me closer,” and “you look as good as the day I met you.”

Is it rude because he did it to a gay person, or rude because he did it in general. I’m a bisexual female and honestly I find no offence. Everyone needs to chill the fuck out and stop being so triggered.
There is no depth there. I think he actually offends my masculinity.
Not sure what I’m feeling there, but I feel for gay guys on this one, and who is he to classify and categorize an entire sub-group of people with that bullshit about “two classes of gay guys?” What, we get to keep them in a box while the rest of us escape? Sweet deal, yes?

Well, a lot of gay men have hit on me when they met me. Usually somebody else tells them I’m straight, and they stop. The gay guy here probably knew the person texting was straight, but was real quick to start rolling their game and sexualizing them. The respectful gay guys I know would’ve been more likely to assume it was a prank. Maybe they’d play along, maybe they’d be pissed… I dunno, I wouldn’t prank them like this.
