1oo Words on Love, by JJ Vincent
She was going to be alone with the memory of her mother on Alzheimer’s Walk Weekend.
Thursday. I rented him a car and he drove all night, through three states. He cleaned her kitchen, did her laundry, made her bed, cooked her dinner, and was waiting at the door when she came home.
They both cried. She had expected no one and nothing. He fed her and held her until others also came to her rescue.
Sunday. He drove all night, through three states, home.
