100 Words on Love, by Wai Sallas
–
Her hot morning breath consumes me like adrenaline to the heart. His laughter from 20 feet away in a room not my own washes over me and sends me to euphoric apexes. When we all share the same bed the warmth of our bodies could provide enough energy to power a small nation. She nuzzles, he nuzzles, my body tingles. My wife, my son, my life, my sum. The sun is barely up, the gunk from my eyes still blurs my vision, yet it’s already the best day I’ve ever had.
