Elvis Summers saw a woman sleeping on the street and knew he had to do something.

If you saw a homeless person sleeping on your street, what would you do? Offer some money? A meal? A hotel voucher? Would you look away? Or wish that we could finally — and forever — solve the problem of homelessness?
How about build the person a home? Right there. On the street.
That’s exactly what one California man did.
Elvis Summers saw a 60-year-old woman sleeping in the dirt in his neighborhood. So he built her a tiny house.
People who drove by while Summers was nailing boards together asked how much he was going to charge for rent. “I just see profit, man,” said one person.
But profit was the last thing Summers saw.
“Money can not buy the purpose of this house,” he said. “Because it can only be paid for by love.”
The tiny house is on wheels, so that it can be moved to abide by city zoning laws, and has cedar shake siding with white trim, deadbolts to keep it securely locked, a window on the side, and a “Home Sweet Home” sign hanging on the front door.
Here is the video of Summers building the house and turning over the keys to his neighbor:
After other people heard about his house and his generosity, Summers was asked to build more houses for veterans and has started a fundraising campaign to make that happen. Watch his video for more details:
