The Good Men Project

Aaron Rodgers Surprises a Young Girl and Does Some Good For the NFL

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers proves there are still good men in the NFL and melts our heart.

With all the negative headlines swirling around right now in the NFL, it’s a blast of fresh air to see a positive one.

This story is pretty special to me, because it’s features Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and heading up to games at Lambeau field was the highlight of the year, for his boys.

Aaron Rodgers has a campaign called “It’s Aaron”, where the Green Bay Packers quarterback visits nonprofits in Wisconsin, highlighting organizations that deserve greater attention.

In this first episode, Aaron went to see Annie, a 12-year-old girl who created the nonprofit Gold In September. She created it to raise awareness of pediatric cancer after her twin brother, Jack, died in 2012 following a more than six-year battle with neuroblastoma.

Aaron and Annie go door to door in Hartland, Wisconsin, a town of about 9,100 people. Hartland is one of those towns you can drive through in minutes, but has amazing people that make you want to stop and say HI.

There’s a priceless moment at 1:50 in the video where Aaron disguises himself as Annie’s make up artist. When she realizes it’s him, her reaction sums up the video: outstanding.

Could you imagine an NFL player knocking on your door? Bravo Aaron Rodgers, you really stepped up. We would love to see more videos like this from the NFL. Watch the video above to get the full scoop.
