*Trigger Warning*
Dear Precious Human,
You deserve so much love. You deserve so much more love, respect, and appreciation than you’re getting right now.
You are beautiful and invaluable.
You are empathetic and kind — to your own detriment. You deserve to be adored for the extraordinary human you are.
You take classes, go to therapy, and read stacks of books on how to treat other humans. You are well-versed beyond your years on how to love — but you forgot how to be loved.
You deserve better treatment than you’re getting right now.
It’s not okay for other humans out there to mistreat you, disrespect you, intimidate, manipulate or control you.
You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
You deserve better.
You deserve to be treated as equal and cared for as much as you care for them.
Break your own heart and break the cycle.
It’s okay.
You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
You deserve better.
I know you’re shaking right now.
It’s alright.
Let it happen.
Feel it.
Trembling is the first sign of growth.
It means you’re getting stronger and less tolerant.
Hurt people, hurt people. It doesn’t mean you should be in pain too.
You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
You deserve better.
Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but years from now, you’ll have had enough heartache to start loving yourself, appreciating yourself, respecting yourself, and being kind to yourself again.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself; you’ll know when it’s time. But I want you to know that when you’re ready, you have all the support in the world. Until then, I will stand here in it with you because you are enough.
I support you all the way to fight for a good life — whatever that may look like to you.
Life, love, and relationships are complicated, I know. They aren’t as easy as reading black words on a white screen.
But you are enough.
You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, and you deserve better.
