A young group of former gang members shed light on a different side of the Baltimore riots.

According to Webster’s Dictionary, peace is defined as “a state of quiet or tranquility; freedom from disturbance or agitations; calm, repose.”
This is a definition that–despite darkness and tragedy–can bring newfound meaning to life. It can also serve as a general proclamation for unity. In light of Freddie Gray’s death, along with the massive riots that have been occurring in the streets of Baltimore, this is a concept that many thought was lost.
Not only that, but many have also been looking for a voice of reason and, justice and solidity in the midst of this chaos, disarray and blame. The city of Baltimore recently heard that voice in the form of young, African American males, who were willing to offer their perspective in this video interview.
It’s often too easy to point fingers, but there comes a time when someone has to stand up and say enough is enough.
