When Coty Vincent needed to rent a car recently after being involved in a hit-and-run, she had her hands full and then some trying to manage her infant twins while she dealt with the business at hand. That’s when the Enterprise rental agent, John Goodlett stepped in to help.
Only in his first week on the job, John offered to hold one of the babies while she held the other. Coty did not have a double stroller to put them both in. John is a twin himself she also found out and his kindness really touched her. She took this picture below and tweeted it out, telling the world that kindness matters with the hashtag #BeAJohn.
The result? Her story has been shared on TV and in many online media publications. #BeAJohn has gone viral.
OK – but here is what really maters.
When Enterprise Management heard about the tweet and what John did for his customer, they wanted to help out too, gifting Coty with the double-droller she needed. And they had a few surprised for John too which you can read below in the tweet she sent out.

This is John and he works at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He’s also a twin and his twin sister is his best friend. While he helped me with my rental due to a hit and run accident, he held one of my twin sons as I don’t have a double stroller. One of the most compassionate and caring people I’ve ever met. We need more people like John who go that extra step. Be a John. #BeAJohn
Update 7/15/16: I just received a call from the Enterprise Branch Manager, Marlyn Jones and he was excited to hear about this going viral. He said this kind selfless act has gone to the Corporate level and magic is in the making! Lets hope John gets the recognition he deserves!
***Molly Boland and Greg from Corporate Headquarters have called me as well and have a surprise in the works!****
Enterprise has purchased me a double stroller and has a surprise for John too!

Nice to see, Barb.
We don’t get much press.
It’s always that other sort of guy in the headlines.
