Chris Crass: “To me, the middle ground is trying to unite white communities with the dream of Dr. King and away from the nightmare of white supremacy.”
On the King Holiday, January 16, 2017, The King Center is launching an ambitious national campaign via our Beloved Community Talks platform: “Let’s Bridge the Racial Divide Across Urban, Suburban and Rural America.” The focus of the campaign is to facilitate people working together to produce sustainable, relevant solutions that heal the racial disconnect and cultivate peace and justice across urban, suburban, and rural America.
Our goal is to provide you with insight into “courageous conversations” in the form of vignettes, that will hopefully challenge us to seek first to understand then to be understood. We believe that to bridge the racial divide we must explore conversations on many levels including within ourselves, our families as well as our immediate spheres of influence.
