There are great fathers, and then there are those who make a hash of it. Most fathers do some of each. Are you a better father to your children than your father was to you?
What are you doing that your father didn’t do? Are you spending more time parenting or spending that time differently? Do you tell your kids you love them when your own father was emotionally distant?
What are you NOT doing that your father did? Are you disciplining differently? Yelling less and coaching more?
How did your relationship with your father change when you became a parent yourself? Do you appreciate his parenting more? Does he know you think you are a better parent than he was? If so, does he agree or does he resent that notion?

The Good Men Project is different from most media companies. We are a “participatory media company”—which means we don’t just have content you read and share and comment on but it means we have multiple ways you can actively be a part of the conversation. As you become a deeper part of the conversation (Which really is “The Conversation No One Else is Having), you will learn all of the ways we support our Writer’s Community—community FB groups, weekly conference calls, classes in writing, editing platform building and more.

Not sure, but I hope to one day be half the man he was.
My sentiments as well.
