I don’t usually respond to things like this but your article spoke to me.
Last year I had GBS as well after a “sinus infection” just like you. After a barrage of tests and 4 ER visits and being told it was “peripheral neuropathy/ psychosomatic/ a muscle strain/ fibromyalgia Etc…”
I was finally diagnosed as having CMV. It took me months to get even the strength to stay awake for 10-12 hrs at a time. It’s been a year and a half at this point and I still struggle with neuropathy in my hands and feet, muscle spasms and the need for rest way more than before.
But on the up side, my heart rate is normal again and I can work out again without too many issues a few times a week.
This disease broke off my engagement and I constantly got the “you’re too young for this” from damn near every doctor I went to. I feel for you, and just wanted to say you are not alone
