Earlier this month, she hired four new law clerks, which signals that she’s not planning on resigning from her post anytime soon. That’s disappointing news for President Trump, who has publicly criticized the progressive-leaning justice. Ginsburg dished it right back at him, saying in 2016, “I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president.” Ginsburg is making waves this week because she will not be attending Trump’s State of the Union address, though she technically has not indicated whether her absence is intentional. As part of a speaking tour, Ginsburg is scheduled to appear at Roger Williams University on Tuesday. Those plans were announced in August, according to The Providence Journal. To be fair, she’s been around long enough to know when the State of the Union is, and she was in attendance for all eight of President Obama’s addresses.
