How can men practice self-care while caring for a loved one with dementia? Join our Guest Barbara Abramson for our #GMPChat on Twitter on Wednesday, November 12th 9:00pm Est
–
There is a growing number of men who are part of the “Sandwich Generation”, caring for their aging parents and their own families. We want to address the concerns of being a caregiver for a loved one such as how to prepare for the role, how to ask for help and support, and how to practice self-care.
We host our #GMPChat weekly on Twitter on Wednesdays at 9:00pm Est.
We’d love your input and participating in the chat is easy!

Would love to hear the conversation….unfortunately I have no idea about Tweeting or other social media. Can you please post conversation on GMP please.
I currently work with men in the early stages of dementia, raising awareness of dementia and the benefits of diagnosis (focused on men) as well as male cares of a person with dementia, using a pilot program called ‘Recharge Your Batteries’ we have put together for men who see caring as a job…”In sickness and in health….till death do us part”. and to ask for help seems like they have failed this promise.
thanks
Stuart
