It was late. I should have been in bed ready for primary school the next day.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
“An air hostess.”
“You can also be the pilot and fly the plane.”
“A nurse.”
“You can also be the doctor and have the nurse hand you the operating equipment.”
“A designer.”
“You can also own a shop and sell other people’s designs.”
I was seven years. Dad was asking the questions.
Forty years later I love him for teaching me not to put limits on my dreams.
