Activist for Kindness Gabriella van Rij shares her mission to get others to pick up the ball of Human Kindness® and be a hero to someone who needs your help.

I had the pleasure of speaking with author, activist, and speaker, Gabriella van Rij for #CompassionConvos about her movement of spreading kindness and creating a climate of positive change.
#CompassionConvos is a compassion movement challenging our own bias. It’s a call to action bringing people together to create individual and systemic change. #CompassionConvos are cross-cultural and inter-generational conversations using social media, online and in person around difficult and challenging subjects. Conversations include but aren’t limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia. Through awareness, education, and dialogue we’re challenged to take action.
For this conversation on Blab, we were joined by Raising Boys, editor Aleasa Word and her son Xavier who shared how he overcame his experience with bullying.
Gabriella offers tips on how to increase self-compassion and how the bullying environment thrives on fear. To support Gabriella’s work, check out her foundation. Gabriella’s Foundation has been pivotal in instigating change through talks given at school assemblies, communities, and corporations. “Dare to be Kind®.”
