Life is always about jumping from one routine to another. Okay, you ate that zucchini — go and wash it — and get a bath too. These little bits of habits may help to pass our daily time but don’t make us jump with delight.
Everyday business, routine, and with every ticking hour — we actually sabotage our happiness. And guess what? A time comes when self-lessness becomes a habit. We stop enjoying the “Good” in “V.Good.”
Apparently, we become skeletons of our happiness. We no longer know what practices would bring us alive. We are like the dead soul… just NOT buried.
So you one of them? Because I am.
I follow these tips to shower the humor blessings in my life, which you can too.
1. Laughter is a magnifying tool
“Humor definitely has positive effects on us psychologically,” — Alex Borgella.
Alex says that humor gives us the motivation to carry our daily life chores by bringing something “Spicy” to it. This way, our every action becomes marvelous and energetic.
No act looks small and big enough to do. Like these:
- Have an unstable inter-nut connection and want to write? Laugh on it
- Want to call a bank but straight going to voicemail? Laugh
- Couldn’t continue reading this story? Laugh
Similarly, dull actions become interesting. This means you don’t have to stretch an extra mile to get yourself thrilled.
We see so many “synonyms” of humor, and I might want to carry these all into a wheelbarrow and sleep on it. I might get all those meanings in my head while I sleep. Ha Ha.
But understand this, humor is different for everyone. You don’t normally see everyone laughing on the streets… okay, no streets (pandemic time) and of course see fake laughing everyone on cinemas, what’s the difference?
It’s the difference of understanding.
Science says, if you know the other person will make a joke, you probably laugh more. It’s the understanding that the person is making you laugh… that’s it.
It all comes down to be ready to laugh at any moment. Just like your inner humor angel is sitting to magnify humor in each sentence the other says.
Find humor in everything you do.
2. Nuances of celebrity humor
When it comes to celebrity humor— not all of us are meant for it.
Every sentence that comes out of your mouth when pan-fried with humor can make you one step closer to becoming a celebrity. Pretty nice, huh?
I used to work for a film industry which I left a while ago; I noticed that all the attraction actresses have is their way of smiling and laughing.
This is one of the spices that differentiates normal persons from that stardom. Similarly, we all are celebrities of some kind. We never know if someone will be a future artist — and if you want them to remember you… just tell them jokes — how awful they might be.
It works!
3. The art of suffixing at the right time
Your brain is a noodle, as Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) says. The clotted cream in your brain can maintain thousands of relationships in one circle.
If you are sad about what someone did, talk to them nicely. Now, I am not telling you to forgive everyone like that, but know when their action is intentional or not.
If someone is doing something you’re not proud of… express it then and there. Maybe humorously. Clear the air before it turns into a lifetime worth of smoke.
If you do your actions correctly and with a pinch of salt of humor, you’re all set to live untroubled. Using the right time and the right humor can make your life guaranteed.
4. I’m 19… and I was humorless
As a writer, I feel I have more than less time to delight myself. I do a lot of jogging and exercise, letting it consume my fun time. I realized, seeing myself getting trim makes me excited and proud of myself.
Now I am more of a humorous person both from inside and outside. I see the world revolving around my happy aura and my brows of joy.
Although, the meaning of humor isn’t the same for everyone.
For some, humor is caring — or in the art of helping others. Humor is everything that makes you happy, and wants to repeat that action again. Think about it…
So, you might like to connect with new writers on Medium and finding it hard to ignore their typos. You see some typos because they are everywhere. Ughh… always some typos. You go out of your way to help new writers and make new connections with them. You train them with the knowledge you have — even a little of it. This way, you’re becoming optimistic.
Humor beings being positive, and the world loves positive people, too. See the humor in the little actions you do. Always!
Final thoughts:
We’re all familiar with the positive feeling of amusement we get when watching “America’s Funniest Home Videos” or when laughing about a good joke with friends at a party. Many people are less aware that humor is actually a habit that comes when you practice it.
Nobody gets humor from the genes. At least, not for now. Practice compassion and see the good in everyone. Always think about how you can seize your brain to make everyone happy.
Lastly, use your noodle, old bean; to see the good and be good.
