The Tap is Dry
I know you would love to help
But you just cannot afford to right now
By the time you pay the bills
There simply isn’t any money left to spare
There isn’t any money left to share
I understand
I Wish I Had Some Water Today
My Mouth is Dry
I know you would love to help
But you just cannot afford to right now
One nice suit costs thousands of dollars
And you are forced to buy a dozen or more
If the cost of living wasn’t so high
You would love to help the poor
I understand
I Wish I Had Some Water Today
My Tears are Dry
I Believe we are all one human race
Celebrate the difference
of each human face
Eliminate the borders
And with Unity, replace
We All Deserve To Have Some Water Today
