The NBA altered its rules this year so the highest vote-getter in the Eastern and Western Conference will draft his own team from the entire roster of All-Stars, regardless of where they play. After two rounds of ballot returns, James is first in the East with more than 1.6 million votes (narrowly edging out Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks), while Curry is barely beating his teammate, Kevin Durant. As for the team captains wrinkle, Curry has indicated his willingness to take on the role, while Durant said last week, “I’d rather somebody else do it. It’s cool to be an All-Star, but all the extra stuff … I just want to go play in the game.” The Cavs and Warriors, who have met in the Finals three consecutive times, played in a game on Monday, which Golden State won 118-108. Over the last 30 days, LeBron James and Stephen Curry each have a 54 percent positive score on Social. –Alex Shultz
