Happy NYCC Geek Nation!
I’m connecting with Legion M while at NYCC to get acquainted with the company and its exciting slate of projects by scheduling an in-person interview with Legion M’s cofounder and president Jeff Annison or VP of Development David Baxter at Legion M’s NYCC Booth #746.
Here’s what Legion M’s getting into while in NYC!
“Memory: The Origins of Alien” – Debuts at select nationwide theaters and VOD on October 4!
Legion M was the first fan-owned entertainment company to acquire a film out of Sundance when it picked up “Memory: The Origins of Alien” with its partner Screen Media.
Legion M harnessed the power of fandom when its members used the company’s innovative Film SCOUT platform during Sundance, which directly lead to Legion M acquiring “Memory.”
• Legion M will be hosting three “Memory: The Origins of Alien” fan meetups at Cinema Village in New York City (10/4 at 7 p.m., 10/5 at 9:05 p.m., and 10/6 at 7 p.m.).
To join one of the three meetups and purchase movie tickets go to legionm.com/memory-meetups and search for the noted New York screenings and times at Cinema Village (meetup host Terri Piñon).
• On Saturday, October 5 at 5:30 p.m. EDT at SYFY Wire’s Live Stage, Join Mythbusters’ Adam Savage, Legion M’s VP of Development David Baxter, and the creative team behind pop culture documentarian Alexandre O. Philippe’s upcoming films “Memory: The Origins of Alien” and documentary short “Becoming Ripley,” as they discuss the enduring impact of Ridley Scott’s cinematic “Alien” masterpiece 40 years on.
The documentary “Memory: The Origins of Alien” takes a deep-dive into the making of the scene and the monster inside.
“Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” – Special Fathom Events screenings on October 15 and October 17
Legion M is not only a financier on “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” but it’s hooking up NYCC attendees with cool “Reboot” swag!
I hope to see you at NYCC!
