Eighty-Three percent of the island has no power, food sources are unreliable and President Donald Trump tweeted last week that federal emergency responders can’t stay there “forever.” He also blamed Puerto Ricans for the financial crisis that has hit the island. White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told reporters that the President was technically right and that the goal is to get Puerto Rico back on its own feet. “The minute you go anywhere as a first responder… you will try really hard to work yourself out of a job,” Kelly said. But despite that, and despite FEMA later saying that there is no hard deadline to withdraw from Puerto Rico, Social is still livid about Trump’s suggestion.
