Hair health can give you more confidence.
The thought of permanently losing our hair can make us feel much older and cause us to become far less self-confident.
Most men place enormous value in a healthy head of hair:
- 60% of people who have experienced hair loss would rather have more hair than money or friends, and
- 30% would abstain from sex if it meant getting their hair back.
- Almost half of hair loss sufferers would even be willing to spend their life savings if they could regain a full head of hair.
Hair is important to men and women, and it is not inevitable.
Hair loss factors
It is a process that can be accelerated by poor healthcare. A low protein diet, drugs, stress and a lack of vitamins A and B all contribute to dramatic hair loss, while styling techniques such as bleaching or tight braiding also run the risk of hair being shed quicker than expected.
Hair loss and your confidence
When hair loss does strike, it can cause huge psychological damage. We feel more self-conscious and less confident about ourselves. We may think that we have become ugly or unattractive. A person who threw themselves into a party atmosphere may suddenly wish to hide away in a corner if they have lost their hair.
If you have noticed early signs of hair loss, or if you’re cautious about it happening, the good news is that it is very preventable.
