A new ad tells Trump’s view of women in his own words. Dads, take note.

I’ve been wondering: where are the anti-Trump ads that highlight his nasty language and anti-feminist take on women?
As of yesterday, at least one has come out of the darkness and into the light.
To be honest, when I watched this the first time, there were several instances where I thought, “Oh whoa. Can they say that? Are my kids around? This is awful!”
And then you realize: these are the words of the Republican frontrunner. These are the words of a potential President.
I have heard Trump is getting former Democrats and Independents to vote for him, so I’ll just assume that’s true and throw the gates wide open in terms of who I’m appealing to here.
But I’d like to especially make a note to dads, because:
- If you have a daughter, you are probably going to hear these misogynistic statements differently. You may picture how she would react, hearing Trump’s vicious comments about physical appearance. You may be deeply troubled, as I am, over the implications of this rhetoric from a presidential candidate, for our daughters.
- If you have a son, you are likely trying to teach him how to respect all people, regardless of gender. You may picture the grimy visual of a nasty past Trump conjures up, and conclude you’d prefer your son didn’t have a national leader embodying chauvinism. You may be deeply troubled, as I am, over the implications of this rhetoric from a presidential candidate, for our sons.
Let’s say that you don’t care, though. You don’t think he means it. You don’t think it is that big of a deal. That would make you a rare parent, but there are no doubt scores out there, so we’ll roll with it.
One question to consider: Would your child think it was a big deal? Would your daughter care that the President of the United States of America thinks flat-chested women are all but incapable of being “a 10?”
Would your son be corrupted by a Presidential candidate suggesting no bad is too bad as long as you have a “hot piece of a–” on your arm?
As today is a voting day, I’d suggest you watch the video again. It is a timely reminder of Trump himself – not what he represents, not what he promises – just the man.
And why he is a man so manifestly unfit to be President.

Well, to be fair here, those dads would also need to understand that 85% of them will not have opportunity to raise those daughters as fathers should divorce occur. They’d also have to realize that if their son were to find himself in an abusive relationship, as to 35% of DV victims that are male, he’d have no services, and could well end up being the one arrested under currently biased DV law. Those dads would have to consider that we are currently profiling their sons, shuffling them into classes that open with the contention that they are all potential… Read more »
