Jones is bitter that Goodell & Co. suspended Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games this season, and Jones is also annoyed about the league’s response to protests by players during the national anthem. He has attempted to complicate Goodell’s contract negotiations, which were largely agreed upon by a special committee of six team owners tasked with setting the commissioner’s salary. Jones even threatened to sue the owners on the committee, who sent him a cease-and-desist letter on Monday, according to The New York Times. ESPN, meanwhile, reported that Goodell was seeking a $49.5 million annual salary, lifetime health insurance for himself and his family and a private jet. Over the last 14 days, “Roger Goodell + Contract” has just a 6 percent positive score on Social. A large portion of that sentiment comes from Jones’s negative reaction to Goodell, but the commish is getting plenty of shade from Social, too. –Alex Shultz
