Both the Eagles and Patriots went 13-3 and entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seeds in their respective conferences. New England is at the top of the league on the offensive end, averaging nearly 29 points per game and almost 400 yards per game. (Those numbers ranked second and first, respectively, during the regular season.) At age 40, Tom Brady is still slinging the football around like a player 15 years younger and led the NFL in passing yards (4,577). The Eagles, meanwhile, tied New England’s points-per-game mark and have a potent rushing attack behind LeGarrette Blount and Jay Ajayi. Backup quarterback Nick Foles is a huge unknown on this stage, but he’ll have the backing of an elite defensive unit that ranks among the top five in most statistical categories. Oddsmakers and pundits are sticking with the Patriots, the defending champions with far more experience in the Big Game, but Social is rolling with Philadelphia, tossing the Eagles 60 percent positives over the past seven days, compared with Patriots’ 53 percent positive. –Alex Shultz
