The email came in this morning with the subject line: “The most powerful and inspiring video I’ve seen in a long time.” The writer of the email, Matt, went on to explain, “I follow a Youtube person called Vitalyzdtv and found the video being shared on his facebook. I felt the need to help this boy show his video to more people after being homeless myself for almost a year before during 2005, so it made me tear up and touches deeply.”
The video begins.
“London, on of the world’s richest cities, has thousands of people sleeping and begging on streets for money and food every year. Their life expectancy is only 42, and they are 35 times more likely to commit suicide than the average person.”
The creator of the video, calling himself only ConradicalTV, explains the mission on his YouTube page:
“This video was born after being inspired by people such as Vitaly Zdorovetskiy (VitalyzdTv), Roman Atwood and Dennis Roady. So many people said they were inspired by their homeless videos and that they wanted to do good as a result of watching them, so I wanted to do something similar but strive towards a different concept; emphasizing how a little bit of time and effort from one person can radically positively affect someone’s day or potentially their entire life, and also help them not just get through another day, but to help steer them in a better direction with better decisions.”
