The first public panic attack is at church camp,
00:05
surrounded by saints who believe terror is what a sinner should feel,
00:09
terror is a sinner’s uniform.
00:12
All my panic attacks are a couple sizes too big,
00:15
forgotten hand-me-downs.
00:17
Some saints pray the spirit out.
00:20
Some saints pray I stop faking.
00:23
Every word is coherent.
00:25
I don’t understand them.
00:27
A group of adults praying over a child who can’t breathe.
00:30
If God listened to sinners,
00:32
I would have prayed my mind right a long time ago.
00:35
Shortly after, I was baptized by my own choice.
00:39
How can I show God I’m committed without practicing drowning?
00:43
I’m performing for a spot in heaven.
00:46
All my commitments are public and won’t last.
00:49
Some saints pray the saint spirit in.
00:52
Some saints pray I stop faking.
00:54
I earned my place in the prayer circle.
00:57
I thank God,
00:58
and he guides me back to having all my attacks in private.
